Thank you for your willingness to support our students in their pursuit of nationally-competitive fellowships and scholarships!
Letters of recommendation are vital components of fellowship applications, and because recommendations for fellowships can differ from those written for graduate school, professional school or employment, the following documents are offered as guidance particularly for fellowships. Included are both general suggestions and tips quite specific to some of the major fellowships to which Wabash men often apply. Feel free to contact the Fellowship Advisor if you have questions.
- Writing a Strong Recommendation (adapted with permission from Carleton College)
- Advice From Selection Committee Members (adapted with permission from Carleton College)
- Guidelines For Recommenders For SPECIFIC Fellowships
Please also note the REFER A STUDENT FORM! One of the very best ways I have of encouraging a student to consider a fellowship opportunity is to let him know a professor has suggested his name!
