The oldest American fraternity, Phi Beta Kappa was founded at the College of William and Mary in 1776. The Wabash chapter, Beta of Indiana, was founded in 1898 and each year elects as members students of good moral character and exceptionally high academic accomplishment.

• Nicholas R. Dawson, a history/Spanish double major, son of Brian and Rebecca Dawson, LaFontaine, Ind.
• Dustin R. DeNeal, an English/classics double major, son of Charles and Susan DeNeal, Muncie, Ind.
• Chad A. Hobson, an economics major, son of Chris and Pamela Hobson, Greencastle, Ind.
• Brian P. MacLaughlin, a psychology major, son of Ronald and Karen MacLaughlin, Indianapolis.
• Matthew T. Miller, a mathematics/philosophy double major, son of Mary P. Miller, Indianapolis.
• Hadi Motiee, a political science major, son of Massoud and Azar Motiee, Muncie, Ind.
• Joseph L. Mulvey, a history major, son of Michael and Joyce Mulvey, Indianapolis.
• Kevin P. Nolan, a psychology major, son of Keith and Gail Nolan, Crown Point, Ind.
• Adam M. Paarlberg, a religion major, son of Gary and Sophy Paarlberg, Crown Point, Ind.
• Jeremy N. Robinson, a Spanish/English double major, son of Teresa Robinson, Indianapolis.
• Benjamin J. Scanlon, a history/political science double major, son of David and Donna Scanlon, Lafayette, Ind.
• Robert A. Shaver, a religion major, son of Mike and Janet Shaver, Carmel, Ind.
• Benjamin C. Tooley, a political science major, son of Charles and Kathi Tooley, Berne, Ind.
• Jesse D. Ward, a chemistry major, son of Dennis and Linda Ward, Clinton Townships, Mich.
They join fellow classmates who were elected in their junior year. They are: Nathan Lundquist, Isaiah Sumner, and Joseph Warfel.
This year’s junior inductees are Nicholas A. Myers, a Spanish/religion double major, son of Trudy Myers, Elkhart, Ind.; and Jacob M. Rump, an English/philosophy double major, son of Larry and Marsha Rump, Tiffin, Ohio.
